CARNIVAL CITY 2014 CLIMAXES THIS THURSDAY
ST. GEORGE'S, GRENADA, SUNDAY 27, JULY, 2014; The curtains will come down on "Carnival City-2014" this Thursday, 31st July.
The weekly pre-carnival activity was one of the main attractions in the build-up to this years' Carnival celebrations "Spicemas". Carnival City was a weekly Thursday night activity in the Public Workers Union Parking Lot -Tanteen, St. George's.
Over the past few weeks several top regional and Grenadian soca and calypso artistes had the opportunity of performing to large crowds at Carnival City.
Organizers of the "Carnival City-2014", say Thursdays' grand climax promises to be yet another night of musical excellence, with performances from some of the finalist in this years' Groovy and Soca Monarch Competitions.
"Thursday night is guaranteed to be another off the hook experience with endless renditions of calypso and soca", explained one of the coordinators of the event.
"It is often said, save the best for last, and we did just that. So, persons who are longing to be musically thrilled can simply come on down to the popular Carnival City, to get in on the action for a small cover charge of EC$10.00", said one of the main organizers of the event.
"Carnival City-2014" is a joint initiative of Waggy-T and the Spicemas Corporation.
