LAVAMAN TO STAGE INAUGURAL CARNIVAL EVENT

I AM MAS promises to be the Ultimate Mas Experience

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

St. George’s, Grenada – February 13, 2019: Former Grenadian Soca Monarch and Road March King, Marcus James, popularly referred to within the soca fraternity as Lavaman, will host his first official event fittingly dubbed I AM MAS at the National Cricket Stadium Posse Stand on Saturday, July 6th, to be added to the bill of local events in the build up to Spicemas 2019.

Taking the elements of traditional mas and merging them with energetic performances, this event, conceptualized by Homebase Entertainment, focuses on providing an authentic and memorable experience for patrons. Homebase Entertainment, which is the management company that represents Lavaman, is working alongside a strong group of entertainment professionals to create not only I AM MAS the event but I AM MAS the brand and I AM MAS the experience.

I AM MAS is not just an event but an experience which features elements of traditional mas such as Moko Jumbie, Shortknee, Wild Indians, Vieuxcorps and of course Grenada’s most recognized Jab Jab. Other additives to the event will include a riddim section and a mas stage.

This event will showcase some of the regions top talent alongside some of Grenada’s most energetic and prominent acts. There will be a breakfast component of the event that will introduce a new twist on the format of events in Grenada by providing a space for patrons to refresh themselves and “continue the mas” after the stage show.  I AM MAS will be Lavaman’s first headlining show and a kick-start to Spicemas.

“I believe that this is an important time for Grenada and soca music, not just in the Caribbean but all over the world. I wanted to do this event so that my fans can join me and other soca stars in celebrating carnival, soca and mas”-Marcus James
