The host for the event will be Popular Theatre Director, Playwright and Storyteller, Richardo Keens-Douglas. Rotarians, Rotaractors, Bankers, Auditors and other volunteers will be giving their time and expertise. To finalise the pledges made, volunteers would be calling to arrange acceptance of the funds from October 26, 2017.
Corporate Grenada has commenced its pledging and some business leaders have agreed to make live presentations during the National Telethon.
By taking part in the Telethon, we do several things, but most of all, we extend our sympathy, build hope and show love to our Dominican brothers and sisters.
Rotary is the world’s largest volunteer community organisation and enjoys the respect of the international community for its high level of integrity and transparency.
Commenting on the potential of the Telethon, both President Steve and Sholini stated that “… what makes this event more significant is the fact that we are doing this fully aware of the long and difficult road to recovery we undertook after Hurricane Ivan in 2004. Let’s all dig deeper for Dominica”.
“I’ll pledge ….. I will make a pledge.”
