This is a classical music concert put on by the Grenada Music Teachers Association (GMTA).  The GMTA has been staging student concerts for very many years.  This year will be our first since the end of the Covid-19 pandemic and we view it as a fitting musical tribute to help mark the 50th anniversary of our nation.  In the past, our concerts have featured guest performers such as Lorraine Klaasen, international African artist and winner of the Canadian Juno Award at the 42nd Annual Juno Awards 2013, and our very own world renowned musical icon Eddie Bullen.

The initial purpose of our concerts, though, is to provide a platform to nurture and showcase our students who have been candidates of the ABRSM music theory and practical examinations. 

ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) is the UK’s largest music education body, one of its largest music publishers and the world’s leading provider of music exams, offering assessments to candidates in over 93 countries annually.

We welcome all music lovers to come join us in supporting our students as they perform for us on Sunday October 27 at 5:00pm at Gateway Assembly Convention Centre, Calliste, St. George’s. 

There will be added attractions as some of our music teachers also show their musical skill on their particular musical instruments as well as other guest artists.

There will be a small admission fee of $20.  Additional donations are welcome.
